Description
Multiple Ports Save Cost
With 3 printer ports available from a single device, you don't need to purchase and install a separate print server for each printer. This multi-port print server is only slightly more expensive than a single-port print server. Where your printers are closely placed together, it makes sense to buy 1 single print server instead of 3.
Simultaneous Printing on All Printers
Equipped with a powerful CPU, large memory and high-speed printer ports, this print server makes printing of your network files fast. All printers attached to this device can print their print jobs at the same time, giving your multi-port print server a similar performance as 3 separate single-port print servers.
Ethernet and Wireless Interfaces
Two LAN interfaces are provided on this print server: (1) a 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet port and (2) a high-speed 802.11g wireless LAN interface supporting up to 54Mbps network data transfer. This built-in flexibility allows both Ethernet users and wireless users to print files through the print server.
Wireless Network Security
The DP-G321 provides the necessary security for wireless users, using the user-selectable 64/128-bit industry-standard WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption protocol. Data privacy mechanism is based on a shared key algorithm, as described in the wireless LAN standard.
Remote Printing Support
The DP-G321 supports IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), so you can set an IP address in the print server for remote users to output print files to the printers from remote places.
Setup & Access Control
Setting up the print server can be done from any workstation running a web browser. In addition, Windows-based menu-driven program allows you to do administration jobs and set access control. Access to your network printer can be control by setting up a list of MAC addresses of user computers allow to print files. SNMP and latest MIB-II MIBs are built into the print server, allowing you to manage this device on an SNMP standard-based network.
