CONSERVE ENERGY WITH GREEN ETHERNET TECHNOLOGY
DAP-1522 showcases D-Link's Green Ethernet technology, which assists in conserving energy based on the deployment of your device. Green Ethernet technology saves power by deciphering cable length to adjust its power consumption so that energy is effciently used. Unused ports automatically enter power-saving mode to keep energy use to a minimum without sacrifcing performance.
HIGH-DEFINITION PERFORMANCE
The DAP-1522 allows you to easily upgrade any router to support streaming of High-Defnition (HD) multimedia content over a wireless connection. Connect up to four Ethernet-enabled devices of your entertainment center to the DAP-1522, such as game consoles, Digital Video Recorders (DVR), and Digital Media Adapters (DMA) simultaneously. You can also upgrade your network to support dual-band wireless streaming by connecting a DAP-1522 to your router.
DUO TECHNOLOGY
Xtreme N Duo is the latest addition to the award-winning Xtreme N product family. The Duo technology in the DAP-1522 supports selectable dual band N (2.4GHz or 5GHz) wireless signals. This allows you to check e-mail and browse the internet using existing 802.11g and popular draft 802.11n products or stream high-defnition movies and other media on the 5GHz band. The 5GHz band helps avoid interference by providing a clearer wireless band for HD signals.
QoS AND TRAFFIC MANAGER TO PRIORITIZED TRAFFIC
The Quality of Service (QoS) feature allows users to regulate the fow of data through the DAP-1522 by assigning levels of priority to each packet. This feature comes with the option to set bandwidth use based on LAN port or on protocol. Traffc Manager provides assigns the transmission of the device's entire bandwidth as well as rules for data transmission. Option to deny unlisted clients prevents unknown user from stealing bandwidth and transfer rates high.
