A series of switches D-Link DGS-1500 SmartPro designed for SMB, requiring functions such as static routing and management on a separate IP-address (Virtual Stacking). The series combines the functions of advanced management and security, which are similar to the same features of a managed switch, but less complex. The switches support technology D-Link Green ™ 3.0, providing significant energy savings.

 

In addition, ports 10/100/1000 Mb / s Switch DGS-1500-28P technology support PoE, providing ease of use and function of green, such as PoE-enabled time-based, which allows off the power at the port at a predetermined time. It is compatible with standard 802.3af and 802.3at, DGS-1500-28P is capable of providing PoE power up to 30 watts on all ports with installed DPS-700. DPS-700 allows you to have a switch DGS-1500-28P redundancy in the system and provides 1 +1 PoE power up to 740 watts. By itself, DGS-1500-28P has a power handling 370 watts, so it can provide up to 15.4W on all ports simultaneously.Control functions include SNMP, management of a Web-based interface, SmartConsole Utility, and Compact Command Lines. The series also supports features such as ACL filtering and D-Link Safeguard Engine. Switches DGS-1500-20 and DGS-1500-28 are in the fan-less design. The fanless design allows them to emit less noise than standard switches, extending the useful life of equipment and ensuring its compliance with the terms of office. 

 

Technology D-Link Green ™ V3.0

D-Link is a leader in the development of innovative energy-saving technology that does not sacrifice operational performance or functionality of the device. Switches DGS-1500 Series support the technology D-Link Green ™ 3.0, allowing the use of energy-saving mode, the technology smart fan, as well as reduce the heat and the length of the cable. Energy saving features allow you to set a schedule according to which the LEDs and ports will be turned off when not in use, and according to which the switch will go into sleep mode. The technology provides an automatic change in the level of the transmitted signal depending on the length of cables to be connected (20 meters).

 

Switches DGS-1500-28P and DGS-1500-52 are equipped with built-in fan with automatic speed control, providing continuous, reliable and environmentally friendly operation of the switch. Using the temperature sensors that monitor the change in temperature, the fans can respond appropriately and use different speeds for different temperatures.

 

Advanced Features

Switches DGS-1500 Series supports advanced features such as Virtual Stacking and static routing. Virtual Stacking reduces the number of IP-addresses needed for use in the network by combining up to 32 logical devices in one, with one IP-address.This simplifies network management for small workgroups and allows you to add switches to the existing architecture without additional cabling. In a static IP-routing routes are manually entered into the routing table. Switches DGS-1500 Series supports static routing, which creates an opportunity for communication between different groups of people in different segments of the VLAN in the network. Switches can fully control the routing between the VLAN, providing a faster and more efficient network.Since the switches can manage internal routing, processing only the external routing network traffic, you can instruct the router.

 

Extensive Layer 2

Switches DGS-1500 series supports Layer 2 features including IGMP Snooping, Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree and Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP). IEEE 802.3x Flow Control allows servers to directly connect the switch for fast, reliable data transfer. By keeping at 2000 Mb / s in full duplex mode, the switches support high speed performance for servers with minimum data transfer loss. The switches support function and Cable Diagnostics function Loopback Detection. Loopback Detection is used to determine the loop and automatically disable the port or VLAN, in which a loop was detected. Cable Diagnostics is designed to determine the quality of the copper cables and the type of cable error.

 

VLAN and bandwidth control
