Description
High-speed Transmission
At 54 Megabits per second, the DWL-A650 delivers high data transfer rate within the industry standard. A Turbo mode allows the adapter to operate at a significantly greater data rate of up to 72Mpbs.
Industry-standard Interoperability
With both WiFi5 certification compatibility and IEEE 802.11a wireless LAN industry standard compliance, the DWL-A650 adapter provides you with excellent network interoperability.
Secure Connection
The DWL-A650 adapter uses the 5GHz spectrum, a frequency band occupied by fewer household appliances, which guarantees a lower possibility for fewer data collisions. It provides roaming capabilities from cell to cell and network to network to maximize connection efficiency. In addition, the adapter uses 8 non-overlapping channels to create less interference, providing greater network capacity with dedicated full 54Mbps to each channel. To enhance security, the DWL-A650 employs 152-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) and Dynamic Key Exchange to protect data from unauthorized access.
Easy Installation
With PCMCIA hot swap and plug-and-play capabilities, the DWL-A650 adapter can be easily installed into a notebook PC to provide connectivity directly to another 802.11a wireless enabled device (ad-hoc mode) or through an 802.11a Access Point (infra-structure mode). It also features an easy-to-use diagnostic utility program to help you easily identify and troubleshoot signal strength within the wireless network.
