DES-1010GEOL EOS
Description
8 10/100Mbps Ports
The switch comes with 8 Fast Ethernet ports. Supporting auto-sensing 10/100Mbps speeds and full/half duplex auto-negotiable, these ports connect to power workstations and print servers, giving each a dedicated bandwidth. Alternatively, these ports can be used to segment your network into smaller groups inter-connected through Fast Ethernet hubs, enabling better performance of multimedia and imaging applications over the network.
Gigabit Over Copper Twisted-pair
The Gigabit ports provide an inexpensive alternative solution to fiber-optic. Using your existing low-cost Cat. 5 copper twisted-pair wires as the transmission media, these ports allow you to instantly upgrade your servers to Gigabit capability without requiring you to install new, expensive fiber cables.
Full-duplex Gigabit Server Access
The Gigabit ports provide dedicated bandwidths for your servers running at 2000Mbps full-duplex. This gives workstations a bottleneck-free path to simultaneously access server data.
802.3x Flow Control
This allows servers to directly connect to the switch for fast, reliable data transfer. At 2000Mbps full duplex, the switch provides high-speed data pipes to your servers with minimum data transfer loss.
Auto MDI/MDIX for All Ports
Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for cross over cables or uplink ports. Any port can plug to a server, a workstation, a router or another switch, using the usual straight-through twisted-pair cable.
Seamless Integration
The switch integrates seamlessly with your existing network equipment, be it Ethernet, Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet, dispensing you of the need to replace any hardware or software.
Plug-and-Play Installation
With 10/100Mbps auto-sensing, auto-negotiation for every Fast Ethernet port and auto-sensing 10/100/1000Mbps and auto-negotiation for the Gigabit ports, plus the ability to exist with your Cat. 5 wall wiring, network installation is a breeze. All you need to do is plug the cables to the switch, and your network is up and running in a matter of minutes.
